ArkansasWriters.com is maintained by M.J. Maddox, a member of the Northwest Arkansas Writers’ Guild.
She has set it up in the hope that it might become a networking tool for writers living in all parts of the state.
The site’s primary purpose is to enable isolated writers to hook up with kindred spirits. The importance of belonging to a congenial writers’ group cannot be overemphasized. Writing is a lonely occupation and family members rarely appreciate what it entails.
Although several writers’ groups in Arkansas have websites for their own members, none exists to connect all writers and groups and provide information of broad interest to writers.
ArkansasWriters.com can be a place to post announcements of workshops, contests, and publishing triumphs.
