October 6, Bentonville Public Library, 6:00 pm., 405 South Main,Bentonville, AR. 479-271-5976. Barbara Youree will speakon Courageous Journey and how she came to write the book about two refugees from Sudan whom she mentored during their first year in the United States.

In addition she will conduct a writing workshop on building suspense and showing rather than telling. Free.

October 18, Community Room, Parkway Bank in Pinnacle Hills off Highway 540, 9 a.m. to noon. Lela Davidson and Mary Ann Powers will explain how to launch an on-line writing career. Registration $55.

October 21, Bartlesville Public Library, Marilyn Collins will give two talks:10-11 a.m., “If You Don’t Write the Story, Who Will?” – 1-2 p.m. -”Successfully Publish and Market Your Book.”

October 25, Barnes & Noble in Fayetteville, AR. Barbara Youree will speakabout Courageous Journey at 11:00 am, followed by author book signing until 2:00 pm. Free.
