Itís here again! The November challenge to all would-be novelists to produce a 50,000- word draft in 30 days: NAtional NOvember WRIting MOnth.

    I hope that you and Raymond and all the other Arkansas writers who began the NaNoWriMo have succeeded in reaching your quota.

    Alas, I fell by the wayside–literally. I’d gotten as far as about 17,000 words by November 12, Then I tangled my feet while taking an innocent walk in my neighborhood, fell flat on my face on the sidewalk, and broke the top of my humerus where it joins the shoulder socket. I tried to get back to it, but just couldn’t do it, either via keyboard or dictation. Maybe next year.
