Gary PresleyA personal essay by Missouri writer Gary Presley appears in the New York Times Fashion and Style section for November 27, 2009.

Called “Would My Heart Outrun Its Pursuer?” the essay is a memorable account of courage and love.

According to Maeve Maddox, editor of the language site DailyWritingTips, writers interested in the personal essay genre will find in Presley’s piece “a model of structure and style.”
