August Writing Workshop at Fayetteville Public Library Spawns New Writers

The Fayetteville Public Library (AR) sponsored a virtual workshop “Writing for Fun and Publication.”  Instructor Nancy Hartney focused on the short short fiction with twelve participants perusing articles, works of short fiction, and receiving personal critiques on their submitted work during the month of August. “Most of the attendees identified themselves as beginners BUT the talent in each pen simply sparkled,” Hartney said. “They are  the next generation of writers ready to enliven  our pandemic world with stories and adventures.” Sign up for the library’s newsletter for information on upcoming events.

Hartney is the author of two collections of short stories, numerous regional magazine articles, poetry journals, and equine publications.  Retired from the Fayetteville Public Library, she serves as contest judge, workshop instructor, and book club discussion leader.  See her at NancyHartney.com
