A Brief History of Fayetteville, Arkansas with Charles Alison

Wednesday, June 28 at 6:00 pm the FPL Summer Author series with historian Charles Alison continues in the Walker Room. Alison will discuss his new book, A Brief History of Fayetteville, Arkansas, which discusses the pivotal details that have shaped Fayetteville’s evolution into one of Arkansas’s largest cities.
Charlie Alison has lived in Fayetteville since 1965, working as a journalist for the last 35 years. He is executive editor for the office of university relations at the University of Arkansas, where he edits the alumni magazine and the university’s catalog of studies, among other projects. He is a member of the Washington County Historical Society’s board of directors and editor of the society’s quarterly historical journal, Flashback. He is co-author with Ellen Compton of Images of America: Fayetteville, published by Arcadia Publishing.
