Arkansas Authors Sign Books at Shiloh Museum December 5

Four Arkansas authors, Don House, Allyn Lord, Susan Young, and Brooks Blevins, will be signing their books at hourly intervals at the Shiloh Museum of Ozark History in Springdale on Saturday, December 5.

 

Schedule

Don House, author of Not A Good Sign, a photo essay of unique, odd, and humorous signs seen on the backroads and byways: 11 a.m.

Allyn Lord, author of Historic Monte Ne, a history of the early-20th century Benton County resort community founded by William Hope “Coin” Harvey: noon.

Susan Young, author of So Big, This Little Place, a history of the founding and early years of the Italian settlement of Tontitown: 1 p.m.

Brooks Blevins, author of Arkansas/Arkansaw: How Bear Hunters, Hillbillies and Good Ol’ Boys Defined a State, an exploration of Arkansas’ image and stereotypes through the years: 2 p.m.

Books by all four authors will be available for purchase in the Shiloh Museum store. The Museum is located at the corner of Johnson and Main in downtown Springdale.

Maeve Maddox writes about popular culture, English usage, and education. Her most recent books are WORD RAGE, a guide to peaceful coexistence as American English-speakers, and THE FABERGE FLUTE, a cozy mystery set in 1980s London.
