“Bird by Bird” at Nightbird

“Look Closely at Life. . . As it Lurches By,” a writing workshop and book study of Anne Lamott’s Bird by Bird: Some Instructions on Writing and Life will be offered in four Wednesday sessions from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon, August 8 through August 29 at Nightbird Books, 205
West Dickson Street in Fayetteville.

To reserve a space or purchase the book, contact Nightbird Books at 479-443-2080 or go to nightbirdbooks.com/.

The event will be facilitated by June Jefferson, memoirist, nature columnist, and the Arkansas LifeWriting workshop leader since 1996. She is the coordinator of the “Invitation To Write Project: Writing Opportunities For Adults” which holds periodic workshops to support local independent bookstores and to foster the unique community environment they provide.

NOTE FROM MAEVE: I read Bird by Bird just last month. It’s not like any writing book I’ve read–and I’ve read lots of them. Lamott goes to the heart of the writing process by going to the heart of the writer. Great book.
