Bryan Borland Workshop at the Fayetteville Public Library

Sibling Rivalry Press founder and publisher Bryan Borland will present a morning poetry writing workshop at the Fayetteville Public Library on Friday, September 6, 2013. He will guide participants through fine-tuning poems for publication, share tips on how to get noticed by publishers, and how to avoid pitfalls when submitting work.
In just three years, Sibling Rivalry Press has become one of the most talked-about small presses in the country and has earned recognition from the Lambda Literary Awards, the Pushcart Prize, the American Library Association, Library Journal, and Poets & Writers Magazine.
Borland is the author of two collections of poetry, My Life as Adam, and his latest, Less Fortunate Pirates: Poems from the First Year Without My Father.
Writers are encouraged to bring a poem for critique. All participants will have the option to receive individual feedback from Sibling Rivalry Press authors. The workshop is open to writers of all levels. The September 6 workshop is free but registration is required.
