Fayetteville Library Literary Festival September 5-8, 2013

Mark your calendars for September 5, 6, 7, and 8 for Fayetteville Library’s TRUE LIT literary festival.

The four-day event promises something for everyone: author talks, writing workshops, storytelling classes, and music.

Working with the Fayetteville Library to create the festival are the Fayetteville Public Schools, the Fayettetville Public Education Foundation, the University of Arkansas, and the UA College of Education and Health Professions.

Children’s author Jack Gantos, winner of the 2012 John Newbery Award for Dead End in Norvelt, will present a workshop for Arkansas teachers, a writing workshop for fourth graders, a lecture for high school sophomores, and an author talk for the general public.

Other participating authors include Molly Giles, Bryan Borland, Carla McClafferty, Kevin Brockmeier, Janis Kearney, Anthony Priest, Kat Robinson, Barbara Youree, Anna Loan-Wilsey, Maeve Maddox, and E.A. Allen.

Maeve Maddox writes about popular culture, English usage, and education. Her most recent books are WORD RAGE, a guide to peaceful coexistence as American English-speakers, and THE FABERGE FLUTE, a cozy mystery set in 1980s London.
