Four-day Poetry Camp for Youth at Fayetteville Public Library July 18

Delve into poetry with Clayton Scott, an award winning poet who is uniquely known for being the only slam poet in the world to come from a rural area beginning July 18 at 2:00pm in the Fayetteville Public Library.  In addition to being Arkansas’ Grand Slam Champion, he has won many regional awards in Arkansas and Oklahoma. Clayton has been a member of the Arkansas Arts on Tour and a poetry ambassador for the Arkansas Arts in Education for seven years.

This four day poetry writing camp will focus on building teen’s writing skills and understanding the art behind poetry.

This workshop is free and open to those who have completed 3rd-7th grades. All supplies will be provided and the camp will be located in the Walmart Story time Room, Fayetteville Public Library.

The workshop is free but registration required beginning June 27.
