Nancy Hartney is guest at the Second Sunday Local Author series in the Fayetteville Public Library Walker Room March 12, 2017 at 2:00pm. She writes about the Deep South where her roots dig into the piney woods and the sweat-soaked hardscrabble farms. Her second book, If the Creek Donít Rise: Tales from the South follows her award winning debut collection, Washed in the Water: Tales from the South, both from Pen-L Publishing.
She writes non-fiction for The Chronicle of the Horse, Sidelines, Horsemenís Roundup, DoSouth, and other publications. Her short stories have appeared in Big Muddy: Journal of the Mississippi Valley, Seven Hills Review, and various regional anthologies.
