Great Expectations Master Class Scheduled at FPL in December

Novelist, playwright, and TheatreSquared artistic director, Robert Ford, adapted Dickens’ Great Expectations for T2’s current production. A Master Class how-to happens at the Fayetteville Public Library, December 7 at 4:30pm in the Walker Room.

Adapting a literary classic for stage can be daunting…but also ridiculously fun. Live theatre and prose fiction work under radically different principles. What are the first steps for the writer? What are the essential questions to bear in mind throughout the process? Workshop participants should bring a writing implement, electronic or otherwise, and a work of fiction, classic or otherwise. Class size will be limited and registration required. Online registration begins Monday, November 14 and is open to the public. http://fplwebapps.faylib.org/events/event_registration/register.asp?event_id=456

Ford will also be at the library for T2 Artist Forum – Great Expectations on December 7th at 6:30. This event is free and open to the public.

Support for the Fayetteville Public Library and TheatreSquared is provided in part, by the Arkansas Arts Council, an agency of the Department of Arkansas Heritage, and the Natioinal endowment for the Arts.
