Hartney Featured OPWC speaker for 29 May 2018

Nancy Hartney

Nancy Hartney, freelancer, short story writer, and poet, will be the honored speaker at the May meeting of the Ozark Poets and Writers Collective (OPWC), Tuesday, May 29, beginning at 7 p.m. at Nightbird Books at 205 W. Dickson Street in Fayetteville. Admission is free, although donations are welcome.

On the last Tuesday of each month, OPWC presents a featured reader and open mike event at the locally owned independent bookstore Nightbird.

The featured performance starts at 7:30. For the open mike, each performer has up to four minutes to read original works or verse written by others. Because the works to be read are never censored, strong language is an occasional possibility.

Maeve Maddox writes about English usage and public education at AmericanEnglishDoctor.com/. Her most recent publication is The Fabergé Flute, a cozy mystery novel set in 1980s London.
