Lois Lowry Author Talk October 7
Award-winning author Lois Lowry, credited with more than thirty children’s books offers a public presentation and talk on Wednesday, October 7 at 7:00pm in the Fayetteville Public Library as part of the FPL Author Series and True Lit Festival. Lowry has earned both praise and criticism with her handling of difficult subjects – racism, murder, terminal illness, and the Holocaust.
She has won two Newbery Medals, for ‘Number the Stars’ in 1990 and ‘The Giver’ in 1994. A film adaptation of the ‘The Giver’ was released in 2014. The presentation is free and open to the public.
