the Hot Springs Village Writers’ Club at the Home Plate Cafe, 5110 N Highway 7, Hot Springs Village.

The meeting will begin with an informal “read-around” at 11:15. Dr. Thaxton will begin her talk, “Exploring the Interview Process,” at 1 p.m.

A professional educator for thirty-eight years, Dr. Thaxton has taught nearly every grade from kindergarten through college level. She as expanded the passion for writing she acquired while teaching sixth-graders to the writing process in general.

“The writing process for adults is much the same as for adolescents, but the subject matter varies.”

She will address the topics of how to develop fresh writing ideas, how to incorporate history and personal experience into fiction, and how to make use of interview techniques.
