March 28 Hot Springs Village Writing Workshop

The Village Writers’ Club of Hot Springs Village will sponsor a six-hour writing workshop on Saturday, March 28, 2009, at Coronado Community Center in Hot Springs Village.  Laura Parker Castoro, author and mentor, is the featured speaker.

The theme of the workshop is:”How to Create and Sustain a Compelling Story.”  During the morning sessions, Laura will deal with the craft of writing, and in the afternoon she will critique five manuscripts and discuss editing and revising.  Her focus will be on fiction, but she also plans to explain how fictional elements enhance the writing of memoir and creative nonfiction.

The deadline for submitting a manuscript is February 27, and the deadline for workshop registration is March 13.
