Marilyn Collins Spreads the Word on Local History

Author and speaker Marilyn Collins, whose most recent book is Write History Right, is travelling Arkansas and neighboring states speaking on her favorite topic: local history.

April 2-4 – she’ll be in Lubbock, Texas to speak to the West Texas Historical on Traces of the Ozark Trails in Texas. 

April 19 – she will present a workshop at the conference of the Arkansas Association of Instructional Media. The title of the workshop is “Preserving Cherished  Stories.” 

April 24/May 22 – she will present two classes sponsored by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute on the topic “If You Don’t Write the Story, Who Will?” 

April 30-May 2 – she’ll be at the Oklahoma Writer’s Federation (OWFI) conference in Norman, Oklahoma, where she will offer book signings for Write History Right and The Old Burying Ground.
