Thanks to the feedback of one of our readers, I have discovered that my Editor contact links were not working or working inadequately. That fact may explain why I don’t receive as many submissions as I would like.
I’ve corrected the situation. Just send your information to MaeveMaddox-at-gmail.com/. (I put “-at-” instead of the usual symbol to avoid having the address harvested by robots.)
Unfortunately, in the course of addressing the problem with my address, I have managed to drop the links and other formatting in the Directory of Writers. Happily, I have a copy of the Directory as it was so I can restore the missing links and font formatting. It will take a while though.
I’ll take this opportunity to remind my readers that I maintain ArkansasWriters.com because I think that Arkansas writers need a networking site that reaches out to all the groups and lone writers in the state. My intention in starting it and continuing to pay for the domain and server space is to have a reader-written site that helps all of us stay aware of what’s going on writing-wise in our region.
If you are a subscriber, you know that the posts are somewhat infrequent. I have a lot of other projects going that require my writing and editing time. This site is intended to be a kind of bulletin board for every writer in the state and on its borders. If you want your publications noted, your meetings, conferences or workshops advertised, and your favorite tips or writing venues shared, YOU are the one to write them up and send them in.
Please let me hear from you soon. And don’t be too shy to toot your own horn. Send me bios. Send me news releases about your latest publication or speaking engagement. And pictures. When possible, include an image of yourself or your book.
Think of ArkansasWriters.com as a virtual water cooler where we can exchange news and views about this horrible wonderful vocation we have chosen. Please let me hear from you soon.
