Opportunity for Southern LGBTQ Playwrights and Screenwriters
The Del Shores Foundation has announced its second Writers Search. Named for the author of Sordid Lives, the foundation supports efforts to connect Southern LGBTQ+ writers with opportunities to participate in the world of film, television, and theater.
Materials sought are plays, feature films, short films, and web series scripts. Prizes will include cash awards, grants toward production, and opportunities to meet with producers in Los Angeles.
There is an entry fee, but the foundation waives it in certain circumstances. (Writers reading about the contest in this Arkansas Writers article should mention that in their submission.)
