OWFI is Almost Here

Writers still have time to profit from the Oklahoma Writers’ Federation’s annual conference for 2013 May 2-4 in Norman, Oklahoma.

Registration for all three days is $175, but if you can’t make the entire conference you can attend part of it.

The keynote speaker is Patrick Rothfuss, author of The Name of the Wind and winner of the Quill Award for 2007. His novel Wise Man’s Fear appeared on the NY Times Best Seller List in 2011.

Other speakers include romance author Jodi Thomas, digital expert Jane Friedman, suspense novelist Jordan Dane, graphic novelist Ron Fortier, illustrator Rob M. Davis, and Smashword founder Mark Coker.

Check out the other speakers and workshops at the OWFI website.

Maeve Maddox writes about popular culture, English usage, and education. Her most recent books are WORD RAGE, a guide to peaceful coexistence as American English-speakers, and THE FABERGE FLUTE, a cozy mystery set in 1980s London.
