OWL Contest Deadline September 1, 2011
Delois McGrew of the Ozark Writers’ League reminds OWL members that the League’s contest deadline is September 1 for all of the contests listed on the website.
The General Category Contest winners will be announced at the November awards dinner. Submissions to the annual Owl anthology, Echoes of the Ozarks, are eligible for judging for the General Category contest so long as they are entered for the contest first.
Richard Howk, new OWL web master, has added the contest guidelines to the web site. Any questions not answered at the website may be directed to DeLois McGrew at deloism-at-gmail.com. Questions about the Echoes anthology may be addressed to Lou Turner at louturn-at-aol.com.
Members may enter any or all of the 12 categories for one $10 fee. Prize money for this year’s competition will amount to $1,500.
DeLois urges OWL members not to wait until the last minute to submit entries.
