Poet Ebony Stewart at Fayetteville Library April 7, 2018

April is National Poetry Month and the Fayetteville Public Library is celebrating by welcoming performance artist and acclaimed slam poet Ebony Stewart on Saturday, April 7 at 1 pm.  She is the only female three-time Slam Champion and is the 2017 Women of the World Poetry Slam Champion.

At 2:30 pm, Stewart will teach a poetry workshop called “Get Free,” which is designed to use poetry and performance as an instrument to share personal experiences with audiences.  Both events are free to the public.
