Story by Arkansas author featured in literary magazine

2019 Spring ConclaveA short story by Arkansas writer Maeve Maddox appears in the 2019 Spring edition of Conclave, a journal of poetry, fiction, nonfiction, photography, and drama edited by Lara Bernhardt.

The 489-word story, “Priorities,”was the winning entry in the 2018 flash fiction Red Sneakers conference contest. As a result of winning the contest, Dr. Maddox was asked to judge the 2018 flash fiction contest sponsored by the Oklahoma Night Writers.

Maeve Maddox writes both fiction and nonfiction. Recent fiction is The Fabergé Flute, a cozy mystery set in London at a music conference.

Her nonfiction publications feature essays and how-to books about English usage. Her most recent English guide is 7 Steps to Good Spelling, a brief introduction to the English sound code.

Her teaching site, AmericanEnglishDoctor.com, offers tips to parents who want to supplement their children’s education in the areas  of reading, writing, and general knowledge.

Conclave is available in both print and digital editions.
