The London Magazine Short Story Competition Announced

The London Magazine, the oldest bi-monthly Literature and Arts journal in the United Kingdom, announces the annual international contest for stories up to 4,000 words.  The best original poetry, short stories, literary essays, cultural and book reviews since 1732, The London Magazine short story competition opens September 1, 2014 closing October 31, 2014.  Prizes are £500, £300, and £200 with the winner published in the London Magazine and runners-up on the website.

Winners will be announced at a champagne reception at the House of Commons in early 2015.  Polly Samson, author of two short story collections, a novelist, and songwriter, judges with Harriet Kline, the winner of the 2013 short story competition.
