UA Press and Fayetteville Public Library Present Novelist Hisham Matar

Novelist Hisham Matar discusses his new memoir, The Return: Fathers, Sons and the Land in Between on Tuesday, December 6 at 6:00 pm in the Fayetteville Public Library.

Twenty-two years after his father’s kidnapping and disappearence, Hisham Matar returns to Libya searching for answers and trying to discover how to process his feelings of love, loss, and uncertainty. In this exploration, he also presents a striking picture of a nation dealing with rapid changes.
