Welcome, Janis F. Kearney

Former presidential diarist Janis F. Kearney has joined our directory of Arkansas writers. She is a publisher, author and public lecturer. Her two memoirs, Cotton Field of Dreams; and Something to Write Home About, chronicle her journey from a sharecropper’s existence to the White House where she served as Presidential Diarist.

Janis is the newly selected President of the Arkansas Pioneer Branch of the National League of Pen Women, and Chair of the 2013 Arkansas Writers Conference.  She lectures throughout the country on her experiences as personal diarist to President Clinton, and presents workshops on writing and publishing.  She is currently completing two books: Daisy: Between a Rock and a Hard Place, a Fictional Memoir, and Sundays with TJ: Remembering Varner Road.
